About the Team 

Team 5992 Pirates began in 2016 at Seton Hall Preparatory School. It started with a small team of seven students ready to expand their horizons and interested in STEM education. After the team’s rookie year, it has more than tripled in size. We now have approximately 30 students, and multiple of the mentors are alumni who were a part of the 2018 team that went to the world championships in Detroit. Along with this, the team won the FIRST Mid-Atlantic Division Montgomery in 2018 and went to Worlds in 2019 at Detroit. Now, we have embarked on our journey for the 2024 season, already winning the 2024 Excellence in Engineering Award FIRST MID-ATLANTIC DISTRICT Montgomery Event.
